Part II

Basic Function

To provide technical support and repair of customer equipment in the field. To maintain the quality of service at a high level in support of the Company’s sales effort.

Part III

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

Inspect, repair and service customer equipment at the customer’s location in response to calls from customers.
Understanding and ability to repair electrical controls
Travel for customer assistance or training
Establish a work schedule in coordination with Shop Manager and Repair Coordinator
Perform preventative maintenance service on customer equipment at the customer’s location.
Perform some in-shop equipment repair.
Maintain field or shop work area in a safe, clean and working order.
Adhere to Tencarva and customer safety rules and policies.
Proper safety equipment to be used in accordance with Company safety policies
Perform other tasks as may be directed by supervisor.

Education: High School + some technical training is desired Experience: 2 – 4 years of mechanical experience

Job Skills:
Must possess a good mechanical aptitude and interest. Understanding of electrical controls
Must have a valid driver’s license, and maintain a clean driving record (less than 3 points). Equipment repair training and certifications as required

Communication Skills:
Must be able to read, write, and understand English. Must be able to communicate effectively with all levels of the company by means of good written and verbal skills, and must be able to work with colleagues effectively and professionally.

Mathematical Skills:
Must be able to perform basic math functions, i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and divide.

Mechanical and Electrical Skills:
Driving a service truck Mechanical aptitude
Electrical wiring and electronic controls
Plumbing/Pipe fittings

Plant Managers/Engineers – Weekly, to update and report Factory Service Reps – Weekly, to review service situations
Customer’s Representatives – Daily, to schedule and coordinate performance of service work and sign off on service report

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be required to exert force in excess of 100 pounds occasionally, and/or in excess of 50 pounds of force frequently to move objects and will be required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, finger, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions. Safety Equipment is used in accordance with the Company’s Safety Manual.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include being able to: I) accommodate – adjusting the lens of the eye to bring an object into sharp focus. (This factor is important when doing near point work at varying distances from the eye), and maintain a field of vision- observing an area that can be seen up or down or to right or left while eyes are fixed in a given point. (This factor is important when job performance requires seeing a large area while keeping the eyes fixed.)

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will encounter a wide variety of conditions due to the location of the company’s equipment, including inside and outside conditions, extreme cold and heat, noise, vibration, hazards, atmospheric conditions, and oils.
