TENCARVA CERTIFIED PROBLEM SOLVER

Scott Barnes
Wastewater Department Superintendent
with Easley Combined Utilities in Easley, SC.

Scott Barnes

Easley Combined Utilities has been using three Gorman Rupp model T6A3S-B self-priming centrifugal pumps for their return activated sludge (RAS) service at their municipal wastewater treatment plant for decades.

As non-woven rags became a larger issue in the wastewater coming into the plant, cleaning out nuisance ragging became a real problem, consuming over 50 hours/year of operator maintenance time and increasing required power consumption by over 35%.

Scott Barnes named Tencarva’s first certified problem solver by turning rags to riches in self-priming pumps. Scott recognized this significant problem and took action by implementing the Gorman Rupp Eradicator Solids Management System (click here to watch video).  The pumps have been running for almost a year and have not required any cleaning.  This action saved ECU time and money and will continue to do so for years to come.

If you are experiencing this headache, you don’t have to continue to suffer!
